The German company Embedded Office GmbH & Co. KG founded in 2003 is a specialist for embedded systems with a special focus on safety-critical applications. The company, which is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 standards, develops and supplies high-tech software for embedded systems as either turn-key solutions or individual components, and, if required, supports the integration at the customer’s through to the certification, besides offering workshops on all the associated software products.
Embedded Office’s product portfolio includes a memory protection expansion facility for supplementing the µC/OS-II real-time kernel from Micrium, in addition to a partitioning system, a CANopen slave protocol and starter kits, which enable customers to get started quickly. Embedded Office also offers a µC/OS-MPU Cert-Kit, which, by using the µC/OS-MPU real-time kernel as a pre-certified component, facilitates the development of safety-critical applications and considerably reduces the certification process. The kit is intended for the development of safety-critical devices according to the standards IEC62304 (medical sector), IEC61508 (industrial applications) and EN50128 (railway applications).
Embedded Office is a long-standing distribution and development partner of Micrium. Starting with Micrium’s μC/OS-II and μC/OS-III real-time kernels through to the complete range of middleware components, Embedded Office markets and supports the products in Europe. With Lynx Software Technologies, Embedded Office represents one of the world’s leading providers of secure virtualisation technology and open, efficient real-time operating systems (RTOS). The RTOS of the LynxOS family are based on open standards and are characterised by their high levels of data safety and data security.
Embedded Office supports customers in a vast range of different safety-critical markets, including industrial automation, aerospace, railway and signalling equipment as well as in the fields of medical, automotive and agricultural engineering. The company is headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu (Southern Germany).
