µC/OSEK the automotive add-on

This µC/OS-II extension provides a certified OSEK/VDX API.

Services

All services have been inplemented in µC/OSEK that are required for the following OS conformance classes:

BCC1: up to 250 basic tasks with specific priority. Basic tasks are tasks that do not process any events.
ECC1: up to 250 extended tasks with specific priority. Extended tasks are tasks that can receive events.

For internal inter-process communication, the required services of the COM conformance classes are available:

CCCA - internal messages can be sent to one or more extended tasks in the form of mailbox. Notification when a message is received (notification class 1).
CCCB - internal messages are sent to one or more extended tasks by way of a FIFO queue. Notification when a message is received (notification class 1).

Code generator

During system development, a system architect usually generates one or more system descriptions in the OSEK/VDX Implementation Language (OIL).

µC/OSEK contains a source code generator that is based on editable templates and thus templates that can be extended based on its own needs. With these templates, all platform- or project-dependent files can be generated from the system descriptions.

The source code generator can simply be integrated in the make process because it is controlled through the command line.

Certification

µC/OSEK has currently been certified for the following environments:

Freescale MPC5554 with Windriver Compiler and Freescale CodeWarrior
Freescale S12XE with Cosmic Compiler
Freescale S12XD with Cosmic Compiler

Other processors and compiler environments can be quickly implemented as a result of the modular architecture. Don't hesitate to ask us about your environment - we have prepared additional processors for certification.

The source code of µC/OSEK has been implemented with the same coding standards that are utilized with the µC/OS-II application. The result is a readable and comprehensible OSEK/VDX System.
